CJ was born and raised in Atlantic, North Carolina, where the water isn’t just scenery—it’s a way of life. Growing up along Core Sound, he learned early what the tides, winds, and seasons can teach you if you’re willing to pay attention. Duck hunting has been part of CJ’s life for as long as he can remember, shaped by early mornings, cold blinds, and countless hours spent learning the ins and outs of the Sound.
Having spent most of his life on the water, CJ has developed an intimate understanding of the local marshes, weather patterns, and bird behavior that only comes from experience. Core Sound isn’t just where he hunts—it’s home, and he takes pride in knowing it like the back of his hand.

CJ’s greatest passion is sharing his love of duck hunting with others. He takes pride in putting hunters in the right place at the right time and working hard to make every hunt a successful and memorable one. Whether guiding seasoned hunters or welcoming newcomers to the sport, CJ is committed to providing an honest, hardworking experience built on local knowledge, preparation, and respect for the hunt.

As they prepare to welcome their baby girl in June 2025, family has become an even greater source of motivation and pride.
